Chanaka Wickremasinghe
During a 25 year career at the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office, he advised on a wide variety of legal topics, and served as First Secretary (Legal), UK Mission to the UN in New York (2006-9), Relex Counsellor, EU Representation to the EU, Brussels (2010), Principal Agent to the European Court of Human Rights (2017-20) and Legal Adviser, UK Mission to the UN in New York (2020-23). Before joining the FCDO, he was a lecturer in law at Bristol University and before that he was a research officer at the British Institute of International and Comparative Law.
