
Dr Ewelina U. Ochab is a senior programme lawyer with the IBA’s Human Rights Institute and co-founder of the Coalition for Genocide Response, with her portfolio covering atrocity crimes and justice and accountability. Her specific focus includes genocide, conflict-related sexual violence (CRSV), and minority groups situations. Her recent book published with Routledge engages on the issue of CRSV as a method of genocide. Dr Ochab works with Parliamentarians in the UK and abroad on legal and policy reforms on a wide range of issues covering atrocity crimes and accountability avenues. Dr Ochab authored the initiative to establish the UN International Day Commemorating the Victims of Acts of Violence Based on Religion or Belief on August 22.
