Chanaka Wickremasinghe
Legal Counsellor, Head of National Security team, FCDO Legal Directorate
Chanaka joined the FCO in 2001. He has served as First Secretary (Legal) at the UK Mission to the United Nations in New York (2006-9) and as Relex Counsellor at the UK Representation to EU in Brussels (2010). He currently leads the Legal Directorate’s Europe and Human Rights Team and is the Government Agent before the European Court of Human Rights.
