Professor Alina Miron

University of Angers

Alina is a full professor of international law at the University of Angers (France), where she teaches international and European law and is a founding partner of FAR Avocats.

Alina has an outstanding experience as counsel and advocate representing numerous States before the International Court of Justice, the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea, and arbitral tribunals.

She holds a PhD in international law from the Université Paris Nanterre and is author of a number of textbooks and articles concerning the entire spectrum of international law. In particular, she is co-authoring with Professor Alain Pellet and Professor Mathias Forteau the major French-language textbook on International Law. Alina is regularly invited by the United Nations and the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea to give lectures on international litigation, law of the sea, diplomatic and consular law, and international responsibility.
